Description

A copycat recipe of Outback Steakhouse’s Alice Springs Chicken, featuring grilled chicken topped with honey mustard, bacon, mushrooms, and melted cheese.


Ingredients

  • 4 boneless skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 2 cups sliced mushrooms
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 6 ounces grated Monterey Jack cheese
  • 8 slices bacon, cooked
  • 1 cup honey mustard sauce
  • Seasoning salt to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
  2. Season chicken breasts with seasoning salt and grill until nearly done.
  3. In a skillet, melt butter and sautΓ© mushrooms until tender.
  4. Place grilled chicken in a baking dish, top with honey mustard sauce, mushrooms, bacon, and cheese.
  5. Bake in the oven for 10-15 minutes until cheese is melted and bubbly.
  6. Serve hot with additional honey mustard if desired.

Notes

For best results, marinate the chicken in honey mustard for 30 minutes before grilling. Pairs well with fries or vegetables.
