- 2 teaspoons almond extract
- 1 cup dried cherries
- 1 cup sliced almonds
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350Β°F (175Β°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
- In a large bowl, cream the butter and sugars until light and fluffy.
- Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the almond extract.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing until just combined.
- Fold in the dried cherries and sliced almonds.
- Drop spoonfuls of dough onto the prepared baking sheets, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are golden brown.
- Allow cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
Notes
For a gluten-free version, substitute the all-purpose flour with a gluten-free blend. Store in an airtight container for up to 5 days.
