Description

A hearty and comforting casserole inspired by Amish traditions, perfect for family dinners.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 can (10.5 ounces) cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 can (10.5 ounces) cream of chicken soup
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup chopped onion
  • 2 cups elbow macaroni, uncooked
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350Β°F (175Β°C).
  2. In a large skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat; drain excess fat.
  3. Add chopped onion and cook until softened.
  4. Stir in both cans of soup and milk; mix well.
  5. Add uncooked macaroni to the mixture and season with salt and pepper.
  6. Pour into a greased 9×13 inch baking dish and top with shredded cheese.
  7. Bake for 45 minutes or until bubbly and golden.

Notes

This casserole can be prepared ahead and refrigerated; add 10 minutes to baking time if chilled.
