Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350Β°F (175Β°C) and grease a 9-inch springform pan.
- In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon.
- In another bowl, beat the softened butter until creamy, then add eggs one at a time, followed by sour cream and vanilla extract.
- Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients until just combined.
- For the filling, beat the cream cheese and 1/4 cup sugar until smooth, then mix in the egg yolk.
- Spread half of the batter into the prepared pan, layer with diced apples and cream cheese filling, then top with the remaining batter.
- Bake for 45-50 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Allow the cake to cool in the pan for 10 minutes before removing and cooling completely on a wire rack.
