- 1/4 cup low-sodium soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons hoisin sauce
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 1 bell pepper, diced
- 1 cup shredded carrots
- 1/2 cup green onions, sliced
- 8 large lettuce leaves (such as iceberg or romaine)
- 1 tablespoon sesame seeds (for garnish)
- Optional: chili flakes for heat
Instructions
- Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
- Add ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it up with a spoon, about 5-7 minutes.
- Stir in garlic and ginger; cook for 1 minute until fragrant.
- Add soy sauce, hoisin sauce, and sesame oil; stir to combine.
- Mix in diced bell pepper, shredded carrots, and green onions; cook for 2-3 minutes until vegetables are tender.
- Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
- Spoon the beef mixture into lettuce leaves.
- Garnish with sesame seeds and serve immediately.
Notes
For extra heat, add a pinch of chili flakes. Use lean ground beef to reduce fat content. These wraps are best served fresh but can be stored in the fridge for up to 2 days.
