- 1 wheel of Brie cheese (8 ounces)
- 2 medium apples, thinly sliced
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon fresh thyme leaves
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Crackers or bread for serving
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350Β°F (175Β°C). Place the Brie wheel on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- In a skillet over medium heat, melt the butter. Add the sliced apples, brown sugar, thyme, salt, and pepper. Cook for 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the apples are caramelized and tender.
- Spoon the caramelized apples over the Brie wheel.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until the Brie is soft and gooey.
- Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes. Serve warm with crackers or bread.
Notes
For a sweeter version, add a drizzle of honey before serving. Pairs well with white wine.
