An easy and delicious caramel treat featuring fresh bananas baked into a moist cake.

- 2 ripe bananas, sliced
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2 large eggs
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup milk
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350Β°F (175Β°C). Grease a 9-inch cake pan.
- In a saucepan, melt butter and brown sugar over medium heat until bubbly. Pour into the prepared pan and arrange banana slices on top.
- In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
- In another bowl, beat eggs and granulated sugar until light and fluffy. Add vanilla extract and milk, then gradually mix in the dry ingredients.
- Pour the batter over the bananas in the pan. Bake for 45-50 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
- Let cool for 10 minutes, then invert onto a plate to serve.
Notes
Ensure bananas are ripe for the best flavor. Serve with whipped cream or ice cream for an extra treat.
