Description

An easy and delicious caramel treat featuring fresh bananas baked into a moist cake.


Ingredients

  • 2 ripe bananas, sliced
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup milk

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350Β°F (175Β°C). Grease a 9-inch cake pan.
  2. In a saucepan, melt butter and brown sugar over medium heat until bubbly. Pour into the prepared pan and arrange banana slices on top.
  3. In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  4. In another bowl, beat eggs and granulated sugar until light and fluffy. Add vanilla extract and milk, then gradually mix in the dry ingredients.
  5. Pour the batter over the bananas in the pan. Bake for 45-50 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  6. Let cool for 10 minutes, then invert onto a plate to serve.

Notes

Ensure bananas are ripe for the best flavor. Serve with whipped cream or ice cream for an extra treat.
