Description

A spicy and creamy chicken bowl featuring tender chicken pieces coated in a irresistible bang bang sauce, served over rice or noodles.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound boneless chicken thighs, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 1/2 cup cornstarch
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • Oil for frying
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/4 cup sweet chili sauce
  • 2 tablespoons sriracha
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 2 green onions, sliced
  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds
  • 2 cups cooked rice

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, toss the chicken pieces with cornstarch, salt, and pepper until evenly coated.
  2. Heat oil in a deep fryer or large skillet to 375Β°F (190Β°C). Fry the chicken in batches until golden and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes. Drain on paper towels.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, sweet chili sauce, sriracha, and honey to make the sauce.
  4. Toss the fried chicken in the sauce until fully coated.
  5. Serve the chicken over cooked rice, garnished with sliced green onions and sesame seeds.

Notes

For a spicier version, increase the sriracha. This dish pairs well with steamed vegetables.
