Bavette Steak & Roasted Garlic Pan Sauce

Description

A succulent bavette steak served with a rich, roasted garlic pan sauce.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1.5 lbs bavette steak
  • 6 cloves garlic, roasted
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 cup beef stock
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh herbs for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F and roast garlic cloves for 20 minutes.
  2. Season the bavette steak with salt and pepper.
  3. Heat olive oil in a pan over high heat and sear the steak for 3-4 minutes per side.
  4. Remove steak and set aside; in the same pan, add roasted garlic and beef stock.
  5. Simmer the sauce for 5 minutes until thickened.
  6. Slice the steak and serve with the pan sauce.

Notes

For best results, let the steak rest for 5 minutes before slicing.
