Description

A delightful breakfast dish combining croissants with fresh berries, perfect for brunch.


Ingredients

  • 6 croissants, torn into pieces
  • 2 cups mixed berries (such as strawberries, blueberries, and raspberries)
  • 1 cup milk
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • Powdered sugar for dusting

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a baking dish.
  2. Layer the torn croissant pieces in the prepared baking dish.
  3. In a bowl, whisk together milk, eggs, sugar, vanilla extract, and cinnamon.
  4. Pour the mixture over the croissants and let it soak for 10 minutes.
  5. Sprinkle the mixed berries evenly over the top.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, or until golden and set.
  7. Remove from oven and let cool slightly before dusting with powdered sugar.

Notes

For a richer flavor, use day-old croissants. Serve warm.
