Description

A delightful breakfast bake featuring croissants and fresh berries, ready in just 25 minutes.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 6 croissants, torn into pieces
  • 2 cups mixed berries (such as strawberries, blueberries, and raspberries)
  • 1 cup milk
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • Powdered sugar for dusting

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
  2. Tear the croissants into bite-sized pieces and spread them evenly in the prepared baking dish.
  3. Sprinkle the mixed berries over the croissant pieces.
  4. In a large bowl, whisk together the milk, eggs, sugar, vanilla extract, and ground cinnamon until well combined.
  5. Pour the egg mixture evenly over the croissants and berries in the baking dish.
  6. Let the mixture sit for 10 minutes to allow the croissants to absorb the liquid.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 25 minutes, or until golden brown and set in the center.
  8. Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes. Dust with powdered sugar before serving.

Notes

This recipe is perfect for a quick weekend brunch. Use fresh or frozen berries, but thaw and drain frozen ones first to avoid excess moisture.
