Instructions

  1. In a bowl, whisk together eggs, heavy cream, milk, 1/4 cup sugar, vanilla extract, and salt until well combined.
  2. Dip each slice of bread into the egg mixture, ensuring both sides are coated, and let it soak for 1-2 minutes.
  3. Heat a skillet over medium heat and add butter. Cook the soaked bread slices for 2-3 minutes per side until golden brown.
  4. Remove from skillet and place on a baking sheet. Sprinkle the top with 1/2 cup sugar and use a torch to caramelize the sugar until it's golden and crisp.
  5. Let it cool for a minute before serving.
