- 2 ribeye steaks (about 1-inch thick)
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
- 1 teaspoon fresh thyme leaves
Instructions
- Season the steaks generously with salt and pepper on both sides.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
- Add the steaks to the skillet and cook for 4-5 minutes per side for medium-rare.
- Remove steaks from the skillet and let them rest on a plate.
- In the same skillet, reduce heat to medium and add butter and garlic.
- Cook for 1-2 minutes until garlic is fragrant and butter is melted.
- Stir in parsley and thyme, then pour the garlic butter over the steaks.
- Serve immediately.
