Ingredients

  • 2 ribeye steaks (about 1-inch thick)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon fresh thyme leaves

Instructions

  1. Season the steaks generously with salt and pepper on both sides.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  3. Add the steaks to the skillet and cook for 4-5 minutes per side for medium-rare.
  4. Remove steaks from the skillet and let them rest on a plate.
  5. In the same skillet, reduce heat to medium and add butter and garlic.
  6. Cook for 1-2 minutes until garlic is fragrant and butter is melted.
  7. Stir in parsley and thyme, then pour the garlic butter over the steaks.
