- 1 box chocolate cake mix
- 3 large eggs
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 15 ounces ricotta cheese
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
- 1/4 cup powdered sugar
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350Β°F (175Β°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking pan.
- Prepare the cake mix according to package instructions and pour into the prepared pan.
- In a separate bowl, mix ricotta cheese, sugar, eggs, and vanilla until smooth, then layer over the cake batter.
- Bake for 50-60 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
- Allow to cool, then frost with a mixture of cream cheese and powdered sugar.
Notes
For best results, refrigerate the cake for at least 2 hours before serving. This cake can be stored in the fridge for up to 5 days.
