For the Crust:
- 1 pound fresh mozzarella balls (ciliegine size)
- 1 cup marinated artichoke hearts, drained and quartered
- 1 cup Kalamata olives, pitted
- 1/4 cup extra virgin olive oil
- 2 tablespoons red wine vinegar
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 cup fresh basil leaves, chopped
Instructions
1. Prepare the Crust:
- In a large bowl, combine the mozzarella balls, artichoke hearts, and olives.
- In a small bowl, whisk together the olive oil, red wine vinegar, minced garlic, oregano, red pepper flakes, and black pepper.
- Pour the marinade over the mozzarella mixture and gently toss to coat all ingredients evenly.
- Cover the bowl and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or overnight for best flavor.
- Before serving, stir in the chopped fresh basil and adjust seasoning if needed.
