For the Crust:

  • 1 pound fresh mozzarella balls (ciliegine size)
  • 1 cup marinated artichoke hearts, drained and quartered
  • 1 cup Kalamata olives, pitted
  • 1/4 cup extra virgin olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons red wine vinegar
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 cup fresh basil leaves, chopped

Instructions

1. Prepare the Crust:

  1. In a large bowl, combine the mozzarella balls, artichoke hearts, and olives.
  2. In a small bowl, whisk together the olive oil, red wine vinegar, minced garlic, oregano, red pepper flakes, and black pepper.
  3. Pour the marinade over the mozzarella mixture and gently toss to coat all ingredients evenly.
  4. Cover the bowl and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or overnight for best flavor.
  5. Before serving, stir in the chopped fresh basil and adjust seasoning if needed.
