Description

A decadent pie featuring a chocolate base topped with a chewy oatmeal layer.


Ingredients

  • For the crust: 1 1/2 cups graham cracker crumbs
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • For the filling: 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
  • 1 cup old-fashioned oats
  • 3 large eggs
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup light corn syrup
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350Β°F (175Β°C) and prepare a 9-inch pie dish.
  2. Mix graham cracker crumbs and melted butter; press into the pie dish to form the crust.
  3. Melt chocolate chips in a double boiler and spread evenly over the crust.
  4. In a bowl, whisk together eggs, sugar, corn syrup, salt, and vanilla.
  5. Stir in oats and pour over the chocolate layer.
  6. Bake for 45-50 minutes or until set.
  7. Cool completely before serving.

Notes

For a nuttier flavor, toast the oats before adding. Store in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
