Black Forest Cookie Dough Brownie Bombs

  • Author: Chef Lalybeth

Description

Decadent brownie bites stuffed with edible cherry cookie dough and coated in dark chocolate for a rich, fudgy treat.

Ingredients

Scale

For the Crust:

  • 1 box fudge brownie mix, plus ingredients to prepare
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 tbsp milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour, heat-treated
  • 1/2 cup maraschino cherries, chopped and patted dry
  • 1/4 cup mini chocolate chips
  • 12 oz dark chocolate melting wafers
  • Coarse sea salt for garnish (optional)

Instructions

1. Prepare the Crust:

  1. Prepare the brownie mix according to package directions and bake in a 9×13 pan. Allow to cool completely, then crumble into a large bowl.
  2. For the cookie dough, cream together the butter and sugars. Mix in the milk and vanilla. Gently stir in the heat-treated flour until just combined. Fold in the chopped cherries and mini chocolate chips.
  3. Take a small scoop of the brownie crumbles and flatten it in your hand. Place a small ball of the cherry cookie dough in the center and wrap the brownie around it, rolling into a ball. Place on a parchment-lined baking sheet and freeze for 30 minutes.
  4. Melt the dark chocolate wafers according to package instructions. Using a fork, dip each frozen brownie bomb into the chocolate, ensuring it’s fully coated. Return to the parchment paper and immediately sprinkle with a pinch of sea salt if desired. Allow the chocolate to set completely before serving.
