Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/2 cup fresh blueberries

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350Β°F (175Β°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In a large bowl, cream together butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Beat in the egg and vanilla extract until well combined.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and mix until just combined.
  6. In a separate bowl, beat cream cheese and powdered sugar until smooth.
  7. Gently fold the blueberries into the cream cheese mixture.
  8. Drop spoonfuls of cookie dough onto the prepared baking sheet, then swirl in the cream cheese mixture.
  9. Bake for 12-15 minutes or until edges are golden.
  10. Allow cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.

Notes

For best results, use fresh blueberries and chill the dough for 30 minutes before baking.
