Description

A creamy pumpkin pie with a bourbon twist and a caramelized sugar topping.


Ingredients

  • 1 unbaked pie crust
  • 15 oz canned pumpkin puree
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp ground ginger
  • 1/4 tsp ground cloves
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tbsp bourbon
  • 1/4 cup turbinado sugar for topping

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 425°F.
  2. In a large bowl, mix pumpkin puree, sugar, spices, and salt.
  3. Beat in eggs, one at a time.
  4. Stir in heavy cream and bourbon until smooth.
  5. Pour mixture into pie crust.
  6. Bake for 15 minutes, then reduce oven to 350°F and bake for 40-50 minutes until set.
  7. Let cool completely.
  8. Sprinkle turbinado sugar on top and use a torch to caramelize.
