A creamy pumpkin pie with a bourbon twist and a caramelized sugar topping.

- 1 unbaked pie crust
- 15 oz canned pumpkin puree
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp ground ginger
- 1/4 tsp ground cloves
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 2 large eggs
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 2 tbsp bourbon
- 1/4 cup turbinado sugar for topping
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 425°F.
- In a large bowl, mix pumpkin puree, sugar, spices, and salt.
- Beat in eggs, one at a time.
- Stir in heavy cream and bourbon until smooth.
- Pour mixture into pie crust.
- Bake for 15 minutes, then reduce oven to 350°F and bake for 40-50 minutes until set.
- Let cool completely.
- Sprinkle turbinado sugar on top and use a torch to caramelize.
