Description
Tender, spice-rubbed steak tips served over cheesy tortellini in a rich, creamy parmesan sauce for a decadent and satisfying meal.
Ingredients
Scale
For the Crust:
- 1 lb sirloin steak, cut into 1-inch tips
- 2 tbsp Cajun seasoning
- 1 (20 oz) package cheese tortellini
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 1 cup grated parmesan cheese
- 2 tbsp butter
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped for garnish
Instructions
1. Prepare the Crust:
- Toss the steak tips thoroughly with the Cajun seasoning until evenly coated. Set aside.
- Cook the tortellini according to package directions. Drain and set aside.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the seasoned steak tips and cook for 5-7 minutes, or until browned and cooked to your desired doneness. Remove the steak from the skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, reduce heat to medium. Add the garlic and cook for 1 minute until fragrant. Pour in the chicken broth to deglaze the pan, scraping up any browned bits.
- Stir in the heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer. Let it cook for 2-3 minutes. Whisk in the parmesan cheese and butter until the sauce is smooth and creamy. Season with salt and pepper.
- Add the cooked tortellini and steak tips back into the skillet. Toss everything gently to coat in the sauce and heat through. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve immediately.
