Description

Sweet and spicy candied jalapenos that pack a flavorful punch.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound fresh jalapenos, sliced
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 1 cup apple cider vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon turmeric

Instructions

  1. Slice the jalapenos into 1/4-inch rings and set aside.
  2. In a large pot, combine sugar, vinegar, garlic powder, and turmeric; bring to a boil.
  3. Add the jalapeno slices to the boiling mixture and stir.
  4. Reduce heat and simmer for 4 minutes.
  5. Remove from heat and let cool before transferring to jars.

Notes

Be sure to wear gloves when handling fresh jalapenos to avoid skin irritation.
