Description

Soft snickerdoodle cookies filled with gooey caramel.


Ingredients

  • 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 2 tsp cream of tartar
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 1/4 cups granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar for rolling
  • 1 tbsp ground cinnamon for rolling
  • 24 caramel candies

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375Β°F.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, cream of tartar, and salt.
  3. In a large bowl, cream together butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Beat in eggs one at a time, then stir in vanilla.
  5. Gradually add dry ingredients to wet ingredients.
  6. Wrap dough around caramel candies to form balls, then roll in cinnamon-sugar mixture.
  7. Place on baking sheet and bake for 10-12 minutes.

Notes

Make sure caramels are fully wrapped to prevent leaking.
