  • Cream Cheese Frosting Ingredients:
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 4 cups powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350Β°F (175Β°C). Grease and flour a 9×13 inch baking pan.
  2. In a large bowl, mix together flour, baking soda, salt, and sugar.
  3. Add eggs, vanilla extract, and crushed pineapple with juice. Stir until well combined.
  4. Fold in chopped nuts if using.
  5. Pour batter into the prepared pan and bake for 40-45 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  6. For the frosting: In a medium bowl, beat cream cheese and butter until smooth. Gradually add powdered sugar and vanilla extract, beating until creamy.
