Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350Β°F (175Β°C). Grease and flour a 9×13 inch baking pan.
- In a large bowl, mix together flour, baking soda, salt, and sugar.
- Add eggs, vanilla extract, and crushed pineapple with juice. Stir until well combined.
- Fold in chopped nuts if using.
- Pour batter into the prepared pan and bake for 40-45 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
- For the frosting: In a medium bowl, beat cream cheese and butter until smooth. Gradually add powdered sugar and vanilla extract, beating until creamy.
- Spread frosting over the cooled cake.
