Description

This hearty casserole combines ground beef, rice, and cheese for a comforting family meal.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 2 cups cooked rice
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat. Drain excess fat.
  3. Add chopped onion and garlic to the skillet and cook until softened.
  4. Stir in the cream of mushroom soup and milk until well combined.
  5. Mix in the cooked rice and half of the shredded cheese. Season with salt and pepper.
  6. Transfer the mixture to a greased casserole dish and top with the remaining cheese.
  7. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until bubbly and golden on top.

Notes

For a spicier version, add diced jalapeños or use spicy cheese.
