- 1 lb ground beef
- 32 oz frozen hashbrowns, thawed
- 1 small onion, diced
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 can (10 oz) cream of mushroom soup
- 1 cup milk
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F.
- In a skillet, brown the ground beef with diced onion until cooked through; drain excess fat.
- In a large bowl, mix the thawed hashbrowns, cream of mushroom soup, milk, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
- Layer half the hashbrown mixture in a greased 9×13 baking dish.
- Top with the cooked beef mixture, then sprinkle with half the cheese.
- Add the remaining hashbrown mixture on top, and finish with the rest of the cheese.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes or until bubbly and golden.
Notes
Can be prepared ahead and refrigerated. Add toppings like sour cream or green onions if desired.
