- 1 pound ground beef
 - 1 cup uncooked white rice
 - 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
 - 1 can (10.5 ounces) condensed cream of mushroom soup
 - 1 cup milk
 - 1 onion, chopped
 - 2 cloves garlic, minced
 - Salt and pepper to taste
 - Optional: 1 cup frozen peas or mixed vegetables
 
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
 - In a large skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat until no longer pink; drain excess fat.
 - Add chopped onion and minced garlic to the skillet; cook until softened, about 3-4 minutes.
 - Stir in the uncooked rice, condensed soup, milk, and seasonings; mix well.
 - Transfer the mixture to a greased 9×13 inch baking dish.
 - Top with shredded cheese.
 - Cover and bake for 45 minutes; uncover and bake for an additional 15 minutes or until rice is tender and cheese is bubbly.
