Description

This hearty dish features crispy potatoes combined with smoked sausage and ranch seasoning, topped with melted cheese for a comforting family meal.


Ingredients

  • 2 pounds of potatoes, diced
  • 1 pound of smoked sausage, sliced
  • 1 packet of ranch seasoning mix
  • 1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup of sour cream
  • 1 tablespoon of olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400Β°F (200Β°C).
  2. In a large bowl, toss the diced potatoes with olive oil, ranch seasoning, salt, and pepper until evenly coated.
  3. Add the sliced smoked sausage to the bowl and mix well.
  4. Spread the mixture evenly in a greased baking dish.
  5. Bake in the preheated oven for 40-45 minutes, or until the potatoes are tender and golden.
  6. Sprinkle the shredded cheese over the top and bake for an additional 5 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  7. Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before serving with a dollop of sour cream.

Notes

For a spicier version, add diced jalapeΓ±os or red pepper flakes to the mixture before baking. Pairs well with a fresh salad.
