A savory pasta dish featuring tender steak bites, caramelized onions, and cheesy linguine for a comforting meal.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb sirloin steak, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 2 large onions, thinly sliced
  • 8 oz linguine pasta
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 cup beef broth

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add the steak bites and cook until browned, about 5 minutes. Remove from skillet and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, add sliced onions and cook until caramelized, about 10 minutes.
  4. Add minced garlic and cook for another 1 minute.
  5. Return the steak bites to the skillet and add beef broth. Simmer for 5 minutes.
  6. Cook linguine according to package instructions, then drain.
  7. Toss the cooked linguine with the steak and onion mixture, then stir in shredded cheese until melted.
  8. Season with salt and pepper, and serve immediately.

Notes

For a spicier version, add red pepper flakes. Ensure steak is at room temperature before cooking for even browning.
