Description

A savory pasta dish featuring tender steak bites, earthy mushrooms, aromatic garlic, and melted cheese tossed with linguine.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb sirloin steak, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 8 oz cremini mushrooms, sliced
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 8 oz linguine pasta
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/2 cup beef broth

Instructions

  1. Boil a large pot of salted water and cook linguine according to package instructions until al dente; drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat.
  3. Add the steak bites and season with salt and pepper; sear for 3-4 minutes until browned.
  4. Add sliced mushrooms and minced garlic to the skillet; cook for another 5 minutes until mushrooms are tender.
  5. Pour in beef broth and stir to deglaze the pan, letting it simmer for 2 minutes.
  6. Reduce heat and mix in the cooked linguine and shredded cheese until everything is well combined and cheese is melted.
  7. Serve immediately, garnished with extra cheese if desired.

Notes

For a spicier version, add red pepper flakes during cooking.
