- 1 lb sirloin steak, cut into bite-sized pieces
- 8 oz cremini mushrooms, sliced
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 8 oz linguine pasta
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1/2 cup beef broth
Instructions
- Boil a large pot of salted water and cook linguine according to package instructions until al dente; drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat.
- Add the steak bites and season with salt and pepper; sear for 3-4 minutes until browned.
- Add sliced mushrooms and minced garlic to the skillet; cook for another 5 minutes until mushrooms are tender.
- Pour in beef broth and stir to deglaze the pan, letting it simmer for 2 minutes.
- Reduce heat and mix in the cooked linguine and shredded cheese until everything is well combined and cheese is melted.
- Serve immediately, garnished with extra cheese if desired.
Notes
For a spicier version, add red pepper flakes during cooking.
