Description
A creamy and luxurious pasta dish featuring tender chicken and spaghetti tossed in a rich, velvety sauce of melted burrata, butter, fresh lemon, and garlic.
Ingredients
Scale
For the Crust:
- 1 lb spaghetti
- 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cubed
- 8 oz burrata cheese
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- Zest and juice of 1 lemon
- 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
Instructions
1. Prepare the Crust:
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook spaghetti according to package directions until al dente. Reserve 1/2 cup of pasta water before draining.
- While pasta cooks, season chicken cubes with salt and pepper. In a large skillet, melt 2 tablespoons of butter over medium-high heat. Cook chicken until golden brown and cooked through, about 6-8 minutes. Remove chicken from skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, reduce heat to medium and melt the remaining butter. Add the minced garlic and cook for 1 minute until fragrant. Add the lemon zest and juice, and stir to combine.
- Add the drained spaghetti and cooked chicken to the skillet. Toss to coat in the sauce. If the sauce is too thick, add a splash of the reserved pasta water to loosen it.
- Remove the skillet from the heat. Tear the burrata into pieces and gently fold it into the pasta until it begins to melt and create a creamy sauce. Garnish with fresh parsley and red pepper flakes if desired. Serve immediately.
