- 4 large eggs
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/3 cup water
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- For filling: 1 cup powdered sugar
- 1 package cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup butter, softened
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375Β°F (190Β°C). Grease and line a 15×10-inch jelly roll pan with parchment paper.
- In a bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
- In another bowl, beat eggs and sugar until thick and pale. Add water and vanilla extract.
- Gradually fold in the dry ingredients until just combined.
- Spread batter evenly in the prepared pan and bake for 12-15 minutes.
- While warm, invert cake onto a towel dusted with powdered sugar and roll up. Let cool.
- For filling, beat cream cheese, butter, powdered sugar, and vanilla until smooth.
- Unroll cake, spread filling, and reroll. Chill before serving.

Ensure the cake is rolled while warm to prevent cracking. Store in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
