Description

Decadent brownie bars combining rich chocolate and creamy peanut butter for a perfect treat.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup peanut butter
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×9 inch baking pan.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In a separate large bowl, mix the sugar and melted butter until well combined.
  4. Add the eggs and vanilla extract to the sugar mixture and beat until smooth.
  5. Gradually stir in the dry ingredients until just combined.
  6. Fold in the peanut butter and chocolate chips.
  7. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and spread evenly.
  8. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  9. Allow to cool completely before cutting into bars.

Notes

For a chewier texture, underbake slightly. Store in an airtight container for up to 5 days.
