- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 3/4 cup brown sugar, packed
- 1 large egg
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 1 cup fresh strawberries, chopped
- 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup white chocolate, for dipping
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350Β°F (175Β°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
- In a large bowl, cream together the butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
- Beat in the egg and vanilla extract until well combined.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
- Fold in the chopped strawberries and chocolate chips.
- Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto the prepared baking sheets, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are lightly golden. Let cool on the sheets for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
- Once cooled, melt the white chocolate and dip half of each cookie into it. Allow to set on parchment paper.
Notes
For best results, use fresh strawberries and store cookies in an airtight container to maintain freshness. Avoid overbaking to keep them chewy.
