Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 medium onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 egg
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • Optional: 1/2 cup mushrooms, sliced

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine ground beef, chopped onion, minced garlic, Worcestershire sauce, salt, pepper, breadcrumbs, and egg. Mix until well combined.
  2. Form the mixture into patties, about 1/2 inch thick.
  3. Heat vegetable oil in a skillet over medium heat.
  4. Cook the patties for 4-5 minutes on each side, or until browned and cooked through.
  5. If using, add sliced mushrooms to the skillet in the last 2 minutes of cooking.
  6. Serve hot with your favorite sides.
