Description

These festive Christmas Cherry Bars are a delightful treat with a buttery crust, sweet cherry filling, and a creamy topping. Perfect for holiday gatherings and easy to make ahead.


Ingredients

  • For the crust:
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • For the filling:
  • 2 (21 ounce) cans cherry pie filling
  • For the topping:
  • 1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 eggs

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. In a bowl, mix flour, powdered sugar, and butter until crumbly. Press into the bottom of the prepared dish.
  3. Bake for 15 minutes or until lightly golden.
  4. Spread cherry pie filling evenly over the crust.
  5. In another bowl, beat cream cheese, sugar, vanilla, and eggs until smooth. Pour over cherry filling.
  6. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until set. Cool completely before cutting into bars.

Notes

Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Can be frozen for up to 2 months.
