Description

These soft and chewy cookies combine cream cheese for a rich texture with warm cinnamon flavor, perfect for a sweet treat.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter and cream cheese until smooth.
  2. Add the granulated sugar and brown sugar to the mixture and beat until light and fluffy.
  3. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, ground cinnamon, and salt.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  6. Cover the dough and refrigerate for at least 1 hour.
  7. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  8. Scoop tablespoon-sized balls of dough onto the prepared sheets, spacing them 2 inches apart.
  9. Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden.
  10. Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.

Notes

For a spicier kick, add an extra 1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon. Store in an airtight container for up to 5 days.
