Description

A sweet breakfast bread that tastes like cinnamon donuts, perfect for mornings.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350Β°F (175Β°C) and grease a loaf pan.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, cinnamon, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, mix buttermilk, oil, egg, and vanilla extract.
  4. Combine wet and dry ingredients until just mixed.
  5. Pour batter into the prepared pan and bake for 50-60 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  6. Let cool before slicing.

Notes

For a twist, add chopped nuts or chocolate chips to the batter.
