- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon

- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda

- 1 cup buttermilk
- 1/4 cup vegetable oil
- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350Β°F (175Β°C) and grease a loaf pan.
- In a large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, cinnamon, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
- In another bowl, mix buttermilk, oil, egg, and vanilla extract.
- Combine wet and dry ingredients until just mixed.
- Pour batter into the prepared pan and bake for 50-60 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Let cool before slicing.
Notes
For a twist, add chopped nuts or chocolate chips to the batter.
