A warm and comforting dessert made with bread, cinnamon, and raisins, perfect for using up stale bread.

- 6 cups of cubed day-old bread
- 1 cup raisins
- 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
- 4 large eggs
- 2 cups milk
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Optional: 1/2 cup chopped nuts
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350Β°F (175Β°C) and grease a baking dish.
- In a large bowl, combine the bread cubes, raisins, and cinnamon.
- In another bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, sugar, and vanilla extract.
- Pour the egg mixture over the bread mixture and let it sit for 10 minutes to absorb.
- Transfer to the prepared baking dish and bake for 45 minutes or until golden and set.
- Let it cool slightly before serving.
Notes
For a richer flavor, use cinnamon raisin bread if available. Serve with whipped cream or ice cream.
