- 1 plain bagel, split and toasted
- 2 large eggs
- 4 ounces sirloin steak, thinly sliced
- 2 slices American cheese
- 1 tablespoon butter
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Optional: ketchup or hot sauce for serving
Instructions
- Heat a skillet over medium heat and add butter.
- Cook the steak slices in the skillet until browned, about 3-4 minutes per side; season with salt and pepper.
- In the same skillet, fry the eggs to your desired doneness, about 2-3 minutes for over-easy.
- Place the cheese slices on the cooked steak to melt slightly.
- Assemble the bagel by placing the steak and cheese on one half, then top with the eggs, and cover with the other half of the bagel.
- Serve immediately with optional condiments.
Notes
For a closer match to McDonald’s, use a sesame seed bagel if available. Ensure steak is fully cooked to avoid any food safety issues.
