Description

A hearty pasta dish featuring tender chicken in a rich, buttery sauce with a cowboy twist of bold flavors.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 ounces linguine pasta
  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts, sliced into strips
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1 medium onion, finely chopped
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook the linguine according to package instructions until al dente; drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet over medium heat, melt the butter.
  3. Add the sliced chicken breasts to the skillet and cook for 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until browned and cooked through.
  4. Stir in the chopped onion and minced garlic; sauté for 2-3 minutes until softened and fragrant.
  5. Pour in the heavy cream and add smoked paprika, cayenne pepper, salt, and black pepper; stir to combine and simmer for 2 minutes.
  6. Add the cooked linguine to the skillet and toss everything together until the pasta is well coated with the sauce.
  7. Sprinkle grated Parmesan cheese over the top and garnish with fresh parsley before serving.

Notes

This dish pairs well with garlic bread. For a milder version, reduce the cayenne pepper.
