- 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts, sliced into strips
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 1 medium onion, finely chopped
- 3 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- Fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook the linguine according to package instructions until al dente; drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet over medium heat, melt the butter.
- Add the sliced chicken breasts to the skillet and cook for 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until browned and cooked through.
- Stir in the chopped onion and minced garlic; sauté for 2-3 minutes until softened and fragrant.
- Pour in the heavy cream and add smoked paprika, cayenne pepper, salt, and black pepper; stir to combine and simmer for 2 minutes.
- Add the cooked linguine to the skillet and toss everything together until the pasta is well coated with the sauce.
- Sprinkle grated Parmesan cheese over the top and garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
Notes
This dish pairs well with garlic bread. For a milder version, reduce the cayenne pepper.
