Ingredients

- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 can (14.5 oz) diced tomatoes
- 1 can (8 oz) tomato sauce
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 8 ounces wide egg noodles, cooked
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat. Drain excess fat.
- Add onion and garlic to the skillet and cook until softened.
- Stir in diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 10 minutes.
- In a large bowl, combine cooked noodles, sour cream, and half of the cheeses.
- Layer half of the noodle mixture in a greased casserole dish, top with meat sauce, then repeat layers.
- Sprinkle the remaining cheese on top.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes or until bubbly and golden.
Notes
For a spicier version, add red pepper flakes to the meat sauce.
