Ingredients

  • 500g chicken breast, sliced
  • 200g bacon, chopped
  • 1 cup mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 cups cooked rice

Instructions

  1. Cook the bacon in a large skillet until crispy; remove and set aside.
  2. In the same skillet, add chicken and cook until browned.
  3. Add onion, garlic, and mushrooms; sautΓ© until softened.
  4. Stir in flour and cook for 1 minute.
  5. Pour in chicken broth and bring to a simmer.
  6. Reduce heat and stir in sour cream until the sauce is creamy.
  7. Add the crispy bacon back in and mix well.
  8. Serve the stroganoff over cooked rice.

Notes

For a healthier version, use low-fat sour cream. Ensure chicken is fully cooked to avoid food safety issues.
