Description

A creamy and indulgent potato dish baked to perfection, ideal for an easy dinner.


Ingredients

  • 2 pounds russet potatoes, sliced thinly
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup grated cheddar cheese
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon butter for greasing

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375Β°F (190Β°C) and grease a baking dish with butter.
  2. Layer the sliced potatoes in the baking dish, seasoning each layer with garlic, salt, and pepper.
  3. Pour the heavy cream over the potatoes and top with grated cheddar cheese.
  4. Cover with foil and bake for 45 minutes.
  5. Remove foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes until golden and bubbly.
  6. Let cool for 5 minutes before serving.

Notes

For a crispier top, broil for the last 2 minutes. Pairs well with roasted chicken.
