- 2 pounds russet potatoes, sliced thinly
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup grated cheddar cheese
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 tablespoon butter for greasing
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375Β°F (190Β°C) and grease a baking dish with butter.
- Layer the sliced potatoes in the baking dish, seasoning each layer with garlic, salt, and pepper.
- Pour the heavy cream over the potatoes and top with grated cheddar cheese.
- Cover with foil and bake for 45 minutes.
- Remove foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes until golden and bubbly.
- Let cool for 5 minutes before serving.
Notes
For a crispier top, broil for the last 2 minutes. Pairs well with roasted chicken.
