- 1 pound ground beef
- 8 ounces rotini pasta
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 onion, chopped
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Optional: 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
Instructions
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook the rotini pasta according to package instructions until al dente; drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add chopped onion and minced garlic, sautรฉ until softened, about 3-4 minutes.
- Add ground beef to the skillet, season with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning if using. Cook until browned and fully cooked through, breaking it up with a spoon, about 5-7 minutes. Drain excess fat.
- Reduce heat to low and stir in heavy cream, cheddar cheese, and parmesan cheese. Stir continuously until the sauce is creamy and cheeses are melted, about 2-3 minutes.
- Add the cooked pasta to the skillet and toss everything together until the pasta is evenly coated with the sauce.
- Serve hot, garnished with extra parmesan if desired.
Notes
For a spicier version, add red pepper flakes to the sauce. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
