Description

This recipe features rotini pasta tossed with ground beef in a rich, creamy sauce made from cheddar and parmesan cheese, perfect for a comforting family dinner.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 8 ounces rotini pasta
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional: 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

Instructions

  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook the rotini pasta according to package instructions until al dente; drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add chopped onion and minced garlic, sautรฉ until softened, about 3-4 minutes.
  3. Add ground beef to the skillet, season with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning if using. Cook until browned and fully cooked through, breaking it up with a spoon, about 5-7 minutes. Drain excess fat.
  4. Reduce heat to low and stir in heavy cream, cheddar cheese, and parmesan cheese. Stir continuously until the sauce is creamy and cheeses are melted, about 2-3 minutes.
  5. Add the cooked pasta to the skillet and toss everything together until the pasta is evenly coated with the sauce.
  6. Serve hot, garnished with extra parmesan if desired.

Notes

For a spicier version, add red pepper flakes to the sauce. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
