- 12 oz penne pasta
- 1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 1 red bell pepper, sliced
- 1 green bell pepper, sliced
- 1 onion, sliced
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 2 tbsp jerk seasoning
- 1 tsp thyme
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- Fresh cilantro for garnish
Instructions
- Boil the penne pasta according to package instructions; drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add garlic, onion, and bell peppers; sautΓ© until softened.
- Add shrimp to the skillet and cook until pink, about 2-3 minutes per side.
- Stir in jerk seasoning, thyme, salt, and pepper.
- Pour in heavy cream and simmer for 5 minutes until the sauce thickens.
- Add the cooked pasta to the skillet and toss to coat evenly.
- Garnish with fresh cilantro and serve hot.
Notes
For a spicier version, add extra jerk seasoning or fresh Scotch bonnet peppers. Pair with a side of plantains for an authentic touch.
