- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 4 large eggs
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted

- 1 cup whole milk
- 1/2 cup brown sugar for caramel topping
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9-inch cake pan.
- In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, granulated sugar, and salt.
- In another bowl, beat the eggs and add the melted butter, heavy cream, milk, and vanilla extract.
- Combine the wet and dry ingredients until smooth.
- Pour the batter into the prepared pan and bake for 40-45 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
- Remove from oven and let cool. Sprinkle brown sugar on top and caramelize with a torch or broiler.
Notes
For best results, chill the cake before serving to enhance the custard texture. Use a kitchen torch for even caramelization.
