Description

Delicious crispy sticks made from a simple batter, fried to golden perfection and dusted with powdered sugar.


Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 1/3 cups milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 egg
  • Oil for frying
  • Powdered sugar for dusting

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, whisk together flour, salt, baking powder, and sugar.
  2. In another bowl, mix milk, vanilla extract, and egg.
  3. Combine the wet ingredients with the dry ingredients and stir until smooth.
  4. Heat oil in a deep fryer or large pot to 375°F (190°C).
  5. Pour batter into a funnel or squeeze bottle, then drizzle into hot oil in stick shapes.
  6. Fry for 2-3 minutes until golden brown, then remove and drain on paper towels.
  7. Dust with powdered sugar and serve warm.

Notes

For extra crispiness, ensure the oil is at the right temperature. Serve with your favorite dipping sauce.
