Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and grease a 9-inch cast-iron skillet.
- In a bowl, toss the sliced potatoes with minced garlic, melted butter, salt, pepper, and thyme leaves until evenly coated.
- Layer the potato slices in the skillet, starting from the center and working outward in a circular pattern.
- Cover the skillet with foil and bake for 30 minutes.
- Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15-20 minutes until the top is golden and crispy.
- Let it cool for 5 minutes before slicing and serving.
Notes
For extra crispiness, pat the potato slices dry before mixing. This dish pairs well with roasted meats.
