Description

A hearty crockpot dish featuring stuffed pasta shells filled with cheese and meat, slow-cooked for a comforting meal.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 box (12 oz) jumbo pasta shells
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 2 cups ricotta cheese
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
  • 1 egg
  • 2 cups marinara sauce
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Boil the jumbo pasta shells according to package instructions until al dente; drain and set aside.
  2. In a skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat until browned; drain excess fat.
  3. In a bowl, mix ricotta cheese, mozzarella cheese, Parmesan cheese, egg, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
  4. Stir in the cooked ground beef to the cheese mixture.
  5. Stuff each cooked shell with the cheese and beef mixture.
  6. In the crockpot, spread a layer of marinara sauce on the bottom.
  7. Arrange the stuffed shells in the crockpot and top with remaining marinara sauce.
  8. Cover and cook on low for 4-6 hours until heated through and bubbly.
  9. Serve hot, garnished with additional cheese if desired.

Notes

For a vegetarian version, substitute ground beef with spinach or mushrooms. Ensure shells are not overcooked to prevent them from breaking.
