- 1 box (12 oz) jumbo pasta shells
- 1 lb ground beef
- 2 cups ricotta cheese
- 1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
- 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
- 1 egg
- 2 cups marinara sauce
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Boil the jumbo pasta shells according to package instructions until al dente; drain and set aside.
- In a skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat until browned; drain excess fat.
- In a bowl, mix ricotta cheese, mozzarella cheese, Parmesan cheese, egg, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
- Stir in the cooked ground beef to the cheese mixture.
- Stuff each cooked shell with the cheese and beef mixture.
- In the crockpot, spread a layer of marinara sauce on the bottom.
- Arrange the stuffed shells in the crockpot and top with remaining marinara sauce.
- Cover and cook on low for 4-6 hours until heated through and bubbly.
- Serve hot, garnished with additional cheese if desired.
Notes
For a vegetarian version, substitute ground beef with spinach or mushrooms. Ensure shells are not overcooked to prevent them from breaking.
