- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup caramel sauce
- 1/2 cup chocolate chips
- 2 large eggs
- 1 cup milk
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375Β°F (190Β°C) and line a muffin tin with paper liners.
- In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
- In another bowl, beat the cream cheese until smooth, then mix in the caramel sauce and chocolate chips.
- Add the eggs, milk, and vegetable oil to the dry ingredients and stir until just combined.
- Fold in the cream cheese mixture gently.
- Spoon the batter into the muffin liners, filling each about 3/4 full.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
- Allow to cool in the tin for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack.
Notes
For extra crunch, add chopped nuts to the batter. Store in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
